About Us

 

We are a family business with three of us involved to various extents.  John Woolgar is involved in every aspect of the business and product enquiries will usually be answered by him. Gerry is mainly involved with packing product,  despatch, and often gets to the ’phone first! Our daughter Dawn helps with order processing and generally holds the fort if we go away.

 

We want all our potential customers to feel confident about purchasing from our online store and feel satisfied with the quality of service we provide. Please feel free to contact us for any necessary assistance.

Making a purchase could not be easier:

 

  1. Select the size you want from the drop down menu.
  2. Click “add to basket” for any items you wish to buy and add them to the shopping basket.
    (There are always links to extra information on any of the products.)
  3. When you have finished shopping, click on "View Basket" where you may amend your order.
  4. Then click to go to the Checkout.
  5. Enter the necessary payment and delivery details we need to be able to complete the order.
    (There’s a message box so that you can give any extra delivery instructions, ask questions or make comments)

 

We use PayPal or Google Checkout as our payment processors simply because they are more reliable and secure than most alternatives.  Note that with PayPal you do not need to open a PayPal account to pay with your credit or debit card.

 

You are also welcome to pay by bank transfer or by a UK sterling cheque or money order.

 

Terms & Conditions

 

Shipping And Handling:

All prices include shipping and handling calculated for the UK using standard mail. Additional charges for other destinations and enhanced services are added in the shopping basket.

 

Despatch

We aim to post orders by the next working day Monday to Friday, frequently posting on the day of receipt.  We do not guarantee to post any orders between 15.00 Friday and noon Monday although we often do so. Please allow 7 days in the UK, and 14 day overseas, before raising a query.

 

There are some products of which we only hold small stocks.  In an out of stock situation we will advise you of an estimated date of despatch.  Should the delay not be acceptable we will refund the customer’s account.

 

Returns

Please contact us before returning any goods.

 

UK Orders

Orders are sent by 2nd class packet post or by standard parcel post unless an enhanced service has been paid for.

 

Overseas Orders

Unless the customer pays the surcharge for Insured Signed for Shipping we will obtain proof of despatch on posting but accept no further liability.
So far we have never lost an overseas parcel in transit, but would strongly recommend that you pay for the Insured Service if your order is more than about £30.

There is a  2Kg limit on these services and therefore larger orders will be split: please read the notes on Customs Charges below.

 

We currently ship to over 20 countries worldwide, but cannot be held responsible for local regulations which may affect the importation of health products into your country. All overseas shipments are therefore at the customer’s own risk.

 

Customs & Local Charges

Any local duties or release fees are the customer's responsibility to pay.
If there are any specific requirements, such as additional invoices or markings on the outside the package, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform us when placing their order.

 

Split Overseas Orders

 

We are sometimes asked to split large orders into parcels that will not incur customs or collection charges.


We understand that for some countries the customs limits are very low but we do not encourage this.  Sometimes it does not work out as the customer intends.

 

If a customer requires this, in effect placing multiple small orders, there will be an additional charge to cover the extra handling, packaging and postal costs.  The customer must email us before placing their order with details of their requirements and the £GBP equivalent of their local customs limit.  We will reply with a quote and personalised payment link.  The customer can then decide whether to proceed on these terms.

 

Sometimes this does not work out as the customer intends, and any local duties or release fees remain the customer's responsibility.
